Agent Factory is a standards compliant framework that supports the development of deployment of multi-agent systems that are comprised of agents that, potentially employ a diverse range of reasoning models.

Agent Factory provides a distributed Run-Time Environment together with a number of generic tools and a set of APIs that help developers to create their own agent intepreters / architectures, platform services, tool support, debuggers, monitoring tools, etc.

Where can I download Agent Factory?

Agent Factory can be downloaded from the downloads page.

Alternatively, users of Debian Linux and its derivatives can use the Debian repository. See the Linux Installation guide for more details.

Where can I report bugs?

Bugs can be reported to the bug tracker.

Where can I download the source code?

Source distributions are also available on the downloads page. Alternatively, you can retrieve source code from the Agent Factory CVS repository. Instructions on how to do this are located here.

How do I get started?

The best way to start using Agent Factory is to download and install the Agent Factory Netbeans Plugin from here. This contains a complete release of the Agent Factory framework together with most of the current interpreter / architecture implementations. I would then recommend that you take a look at the AFAPL2 Programmers Guide, which describes how to create agents using the AFAPL2 agent programming language.

When I create an Agent Factory Application using the Netbeans plugin, I get an error stating that /usr/lib/agentfactory does not exists

You are using an out of date version of the Netbeans plugin, please download the latest version from here.
